A two-year £500k contract has been awarded to KICC to deliver a business support service to businesses of all sizes and sectors across Kent & Medway.
The Growth Hub will help business to navigate the complex landscape of business support, funding and information currently available whether that be locally provided or national. The service will offer a website with a wealth of information, a telephone support helpline, an online advice service and will run several events across the county aimed at co-ordinating and promoting the numerous offers of support available. Additionally, where there is a need for support but no provision, the Growth Hub with its Partners will develop programmes and public/private initiatives to help address the shortfall and encourage growth.
Working with a broad range of consortium partners that includes universities, private business and local authorities, the Growth Hub will fast become the one stop shop for information and signposting.
Perhaps now more than ever, the alignment, simplification and accessibility of funded business support needs to be delivered to the door of businesses so that the economy can grow and compete.
The relaunch of a new look website and the addition of online services will take place in January 2017 along with a promotional campaign aimed at supporting businesses to grow.
